The school building is now occupied by a charter school. I guess the end of an era has truly come...:-(

Yesterday's Farewell Block Party was a SUCCESS! I'm sad that the only school home my kids have known is closing, but I have come to the realization that this is a good thing. We all have to use this opportunity for growth, whether it's academically, socially or financially. I'm praying that all the families find new school homes & that the teachers/staff are not out of work too long and that they find new positions that provide them with the happiness that they've experienced at OLL.

I started this page to keep the communication lines open between the parents, students & the school. Since the school will be closing it's doors in a few weeks & my children will no longer be students there - I am looking for someone to take over as "Admin" for the page. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks...

I went to the open house at St. Rose of Lima yesterday & I must say I was pleasantly surprised. They offer more activities then OLL, have a partnership with Villanova & St. Joes & the tuition is MUCH cheaper!! I think that we may have been "sleeping" on them because of their location. If you still haven't found a school yet, check them out - you might like what you see. Good luck!!

It is really pathetic that with a school of over 200 students, only a handful came out & supported the rallies! All you did was prove Father James right. If you are not willing to fight for your kids education, then who will? With that said, I want to give a big THANK YOU to the parents & students that came out. At least WE can say we went down fighting!!!
