Eek - in the next three weeks I have to make umpteen cupcakes, a car cake, a cake to raffle, a cake to cut into slices and umpteen dummy cakes ready for my first stall at a Charity fair. Time to knuckle down I feel :-)
Trying out a new recipe for Pistachio, lime and rose cake. It smells goooood :-) Photo in a bit when it's out the oven.
Really excited. Just been asked to teach another class on 'painting on icing' for April next year. Can't wait :-)
Just taken delivery of loads of goodies for future cakes :-) I'm like a kid at Christmas as I ordered them when tired so can't quite remember what I got...
Now what to do while my Halal cakes cool down....ooh....Great British Bake Off. Don't mind if I do :-)
All cakes for this week done. Photos to follow later :-)
Not cake related but.... I am going to be dying my hair purple on 1st October to raise money for MIND following the recent death of Robin Williams. Mental Health is definately an issue that shouldn't be ignored. Thanks to Gary Henri in Henleaze who have offered to do it for free (Thanks Paul Leonard). Tomorrows Planes cake is done - now to start on Sundays Christening one. No two day are the same which is what I love about this job :-)
Time to get baking ready for a blind taste test.... my normal vanilla extract vs. my new halal vanilla extract. Lets see if there is a difference in taste :-)
Just ordered my first bottle of Halal Vanilla Extract for a future order. Will be interesting to try it out compared to my normal brand...
Back from a week away and ready to get back to work - I've missed baking as it's not really possible when you're staying in a tent :-)
