We will raise funds to.... ... assist families who may not be able to afford the cost of their pet's blood transfusion. ... offset the cost of "typing" donors

"Paddington's Hope" fund is a tribute to our daughter's Golden Retriever, Paddington. Paddington was diagnosed in December 2011 with lymphoma. He was a very sick boy. Two days after an operation to remove his spleen and the tumor attached to it, he needed an emergency blood transfusion. Without it, he would have died within hours. Thankfully, our wonderful vet, Dr. Lechten, had a donor dog available for him! That dog saved Paddington's life that day. Unfortunately, Paddington was not able to beat the cancer, but he did not pass through this world in vain. Paddington was only 6 when he passed, but through this foundation, he will live forever!
