Parent Life Lubbock (Formerly known as Teen Parents of Lubbock) is a ministry of Youth for Christ that assists and mentors pregnant and parenting teens. We are a ministry of Lubbock Youth for Christ. Youth for Christ is an international organization founded in 1944 that exists to reach out to teens with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through various ministries and outreaches. www.yfc.net

Description

Parent Life Lubbock provides: - Weekly support group meetings for pregnant and parenting teens - Childcare during group meetings - Baby Boutique - enrolled parents can earn points called Baby Bucks to buy things they need for their children - Peer Leaders - a small group of young moms who have been trained to share their stories with their peers at youth groups, schools and other events as a preventative effort to reach out to younger teens with the hard realities of parenting at a young age before they make choices that lead them to become pregnant.

We are a local non-profit organization. We are privately funded by generous donors, churches and businesses in the community. We gladly accept in-kind donations of goods and services. Contact us to learn more about serving as a mentor mom or dad or helping with the children of our teen parents. We also have many other volunteer needs available for those wanting to get involved. We gladly accept donations of baby items for our Baby Boutique. If you have like-new or gently used baby items such as clothes, toys, strollers, cribs and any other baby or toddler items that you no longer need, please contact us about donating them to the Parent Life ministry.
