Parlour Coffee : 31 business to discover in Winnipeg x Baronmag
Since 2012 we have maintained a steady schedule of six week art exhibitions, often featuring one single piece of work. Our 33rd exhibition features local artist Chantal Dupas. For a better view of her exceptional work, come visit the cafe before March 31. Coincidentally, those looking to see more in her series of watercolours exploring themes of memory, consumption, and transformation don't have to venture too far. Chantal Dupas’ first solo show at Lisa Kehler Art + Projects, "Learning about plants from a book", is on through March 5th at 171 McDermot Avenue. Chantal Dupas is a visual artist based in Winnipeg, MB. She holds a BFA from the University of Manitoba and has studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, The School of Visual Arts in New York, and Yale University. Her current work focuses on the world of botany. This research has led to her volunteering at the University of Manitoba’s Herbarium and she is currently artist-in-residence at the University’s Belmonte Laboratory. Dupas is represented by Lisa Kehler Art + Projects
