Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city. Paws In The City has spent many years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We have placed dogs and cats into our foster homes and then into adoptive homes. Every year in the metroplex, over 200,000 animals are euthanized. Every dollar raised goes to foster, adoption, medical and spay/neuter programs.

Description

Our mission is to save as many dogs and cats as possible from being euthanized at the City of Dallas shelter. Whether due to overcrowding and space being limited or because they have a treatable illness, we will take as many of the animals as we can into our foster program and find them loving forever homes. SoupMobile is a non-profit, mobile soup kitchen feeding, sheltering, and caring for the homeless in Dallas. www.SoupMobile.org The SoupMobile was founded by David Timothy, A.K.A. The SoupMan in August of 2003 on a wing and a lot of prayers. The SoupMobile's Mission Statement is three simple words, spoken by Jesus himself - "Feed MY Sheep" SoupMobile is a non-profit mobile soup kitchen feeding and sheltering the needy and homeless in the Dallas area. SoupMobile Village opened in October 2009 with one house, providing housing to homeless men in Dallas. Since then, SoupMobile Village has grown to seven homes, including separate units for men, women, and families. Each group home is designed to take a homeless man, woman, or family right off the streets, put a roof over their heads, help them get a job, and help them return as productive working members of their community. All residents of the Village are expected to hold jobs and participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the home. It's a 'Hand UP' not a 'Hand Out.' To top it all off the SoupMobile puts on a Christmas event every year called CELEBRATE JESUS whereby we take 500 homeless men, women, and children right off the streets of Dallas and put them up at a fancy downtown hotel for Christmas. Opened in September 2012, the SoupMobile Thrift Store helps raise money to support the missions of the SoupMobile. It also serves as a place to employ homeless people and residents of SoupMobile Village, teaching them job skills and helping them build a positive work history. Follow us on Twitter @SoupMobile
