The current principal of the school is Furhrer Chuma.Current leadership rolesThe current head of junior school is Sarah Rowan, the head of middle school is Nicholas Cheyne and the current head of senior school is Peter Cummings.HistoryAt the 1988 Annual General Meeting of the Trinity Lutheran Congregation a Lutheran School Investigation Committee was elected. These members were Greg Wharton, Jordan Fogarty, Frank Jacobsen, Julene Lander and David Spanagel. Ken Albinger from Queensland Lutheran Schools’ Department outlined the process to be followed.Land purchaseAub Muller and David Spanagel searched for suitable sites and areas considered were at Mooroobool, Clifton Beach, Edmonton and Kamerunga. The preferred site was Kamerunga and was purchased from Lusalda Pty Ltd at a cost of $500,000 and settlement was requested by 28 February 1991. There was a six-month delay concerning an objection about an adverse effect that the flow of flood waters might have across the area brought about by any development. Other setbacks included advice from Queensland Transport that they required a portion of the land for the construction of a roundabout to cater for the intersection of Kamerunga Road and Harley Street. Settlement for the land occurred at 4.44p.m. on 4 October 1991, eight months after the agreed settlement date.

Freshwater Christian College is a private interdenominational school located in the suburb of Brinsmead, near Cairns, in Far North Queensland, Australia. It is a co-educational school with all grades from Kindergarten to Year 12.It was renamed from Cairns Christian College to Freshwater Christian College in 2008, but has no relation to the nearby Freshwater Creek. The uniforms were also changed. The school was first opened in 1983 and was later moved to its current location.
