Description
About the owner: Afiya O. Burson was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is where her interest in psychology peaked. She learned she was naturally in tune with others around her and loved giving advice. Afiya went off to Atlanta, GA where she enrolled in Clark Atlanta University and studied Psychology. She finished at Clark with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After a two year hiatus still in the health field (pharmacy) Afiya decided it was time to go back to school. She packed up and moved to Chicago IL where she enrolled in The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. At the Chicago School she studied and obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Counseling. Currently Afiya is in Washington DC where she has enrolled in the Chicago of Professional Psychology's DC campus. She is studying for her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
