Pebble Playgroup is a local, privately owned and managed Playgroup that has been established for 40 years and is registered with South Eastern Trust. Children are enrolled from 2years 10months to 4 school age. All staff are fully qualified with a combined 38 years experience within Pebble Playgroup and continually partake in various training courses throughout each year. Every member of staff holds a certificate in Paediatric first aid and child protection and a minimum qualification of Childcare Learning and Development, NVQ Level 3. We are a warm and homely playgroup. We consider ourselves as friendly and outgoing girls who are here to make your child's time at playgroup a fun and enjoyable experience. Our personal aims are to make each child feel safe and secure within our group. By doing this we believe they can build confidence and gain independence within themselves. They learn to share and take turns and are encouraged through stimulated play to develop play skills. Pebble Playgroup offers every child a chance to make friends with other children of their own age and also relate to adults. We actively encourage and welcome all children from various cultural backgrounds and needs into our group. During playtime we offer children a wide range of play equipment and activities. Some of which are: Construction activities, play dough modelling, sand and water play, imaginary play such as home corner, hospital, workshop, dress-up etc. They are also greatly encouraged to participate in all creative activities which are centred around our monthly topics which include road safety, seasons, people who help us etc. All of these help to develop fine and gross motor skills and encourage the development of hand, eye, mind and body co-ordination. At Pebble Playgroup we are able to provide the children with a large outdoor play area which is fully enclosed and secure and is used in our playgroups daily routine. During their time spent with us, we record the child's development and progress through termly observations, which parents will receive at the end of the year. We aim to build a good and long lasting relationship with the children and their families. OPENING TIMES: 9.00am - 12.00pm - morning session 12.30pm - 3.00pm - afternoon session (available only at certain times of the year) Please note: Children can attend from 2 sessions - 5 sessions per week.
