Description

From its beginning, the Pentecostal Theology Seminary has followed a model for ministerial development drawn from the Scriptures and the heritage of Wesleyan-Pentecostalism: the community of faith. The underlying thesis of the model has been that equipping persons for ministry is the responsibility of the church and must be done in the context of being the church. The Seminary is the church of God gathered for theological education. This conviction requires the Seminary to continually seek to conform to the nature of the church, to see its mission as an expression of the mission of the church, and to maintain an interdependent relationship with the larger church. These realities constitute the governing vision of the nature of the Seminary.

PTS observed Chaplains Week. On Thursday, November 13, Clinical chaplain Dr. Lloyd Looney spoke in chapel. He presented a message from I Corinthians 9:24-27. "In these verses, I believe Paul was not just referencing winning the race, he was also referring to how the race was run...with integrity and passion". Look for this and other chapel sermons on our seminary website.

Today's Seminary chapel is a call to prayer. Throughout the day, we will be sharing with you scriptures and prayers of focus in the hope that you join with us in this time of community. Prayer 5 Focus on healing/Anointing with oil James 5:13-16 "Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
