Description

Growing up in the heart of Dallas, Texas, jewelry designer Perry Cass always had a creative passion. As a kid she was either playing piano, singing, dancing or making art and jewelry. After graduating from The Episcopal School of Dallas in 2002, she attended college at Southern Methodist University (SMU). She received a minor in studio art and rediscovered her passion for working with her hands and creating beautiful pieces. It wasn’t until a few years after graduating from SMU that Perry realized she wanted to work in the jewelry industry, mainly in design. Always having had a love affair with jewelry, she decided to learn as much about the industry and began working in sales at Noble Boutique in Highland Park Village. Here, she was surrounded by one-of-a-kind pieces by designers such as Henry Dunay, David Webb and Van Cleef & Arpels. During this time, she studied jewelry fabrication at the Craft Guild of Dallas and acquired an Accredited Jewelry Professional degree from the Gemological Institute of America. Four years ago, Perry moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to continue her career in jewelry sales at Boudreaux’s Jewelers, selling designers such as Tacori, Verragio, Simon G. and J.B. Star. After working in sales for over 5 years, she decided it was time to take a leap of faith and pursue her real passion; design. Inspired by nature’s beauty and the belief that everyone deserves to feel beautiful, her line not only makes a statement but also embodies simple elegance, transitioning easily from day to night. With careful attention to detail, Perry selects all of her gemstones by hand and crafts her pieces in her home studio using natural stones, beads, gold-filled wire and chain. By starting her company Perry Cass Designs, she has finally turned her dreams into a reality. Enjoy!
