Buffett Siblings speak April 28 at first Philanthropy Summit at UNO Susie and Peter Buffett will speak at the first Philanthropy Summit to be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The Philanthropy Summit will take place at Mammel Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the UNO College of Business. The Buffetts will focus on how Warren Buffett, his family and “The Giving Pledge” initiative have impacted global philanthropy. All net proceeds from the summit will benefit Omaha Girls Inc. Currently, Susie Buffett is Chair of The Sherwood Foundation, the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and the Buffett Early Childhood Fund. Peter Buffett is the co-president of the NoVo Foundation and co-chair of its Board of Directors. The theme for the summit covers such topics as social value investing, creating a legacy of enduring values, common philanthropic family mistakes, strategic giving and meaningful impact.
