Description

Philoxenia; PDX? What? Xenia (Greek: ξενία, xenía, trans. "guest-friendship") is the ancient Greek concept of hospitality, the generosity and courtesy shown to those who are far from home … So, back to business ... you’re arriving to Portland by plane? PDX is only 20 minutes away. Pre-arrange with us for a ride into town or simply jump on the MAX train. You’ll immediately be immersed with Portland’s colorful characters and in about 40 minutes you’ll arrive at your stop which is two blocks away; including a nice stroll through our own Patton Park. There are so many transportation options in Portland. MAX is our light-rail transit system. As mentioned we have a stop two blocks from your apartment. Then there is a European-style streetcar, a large bus system, taxis and a couple of fun car options (other than traditional rental agencies). Zipcar and Car2Go are rentals that can be picked up on the street conveniently. You'll see them all over Portland. A super easy way to grab a ride at the last minute. Just plan ahead to establish your account and you'll be all set.
