Piedmont Conservation Council focuses on projects in a 10 county area across NC's Piedmont region to conserve natural resources and strengthen communities.
Piedmont Conservation Council (PCC) is bringing conservation from plan to practice across North Carolina's Piedmont region. Formerly part of the USDA's Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Program, PCC is now an independent 501(c)(3) operating in a 10 county area: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Guilford, Orange, Person, Randolph, Rockingham, and Wake. Our Council is made up of 23 members representing each of our member-counties and seek to bring grassroots project ideas identified at the local level to us for development and implementation. In recent years we have completed a number of projects including dam removals, stormwater retrofits, quilt trails, and Farmland Protection Plans. For more information about what we are doing in your community please visit us at www.piedmontconservation.org, or on Twitter @PiedmontRCD.

Happy New Years! PCC is looking forward to doing some great things in 2015 including the development of a Farmland Protection Plan for Person County, NC, continued work on Dam Removals, completing our green roof on the Durham Ag Building, and hopefully some more barn quilt trails and stream restoration projects!
