Piedmont Conservation Council (PCC) is bringing conservation from plan to practice across North Carolina's Piedmont region. Formerly part of the USDA's Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Program, PCC is now an independent 501(c)(3) operating in a 10 county area: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Guilford, Orange, Person, Randolph, Rockingham, and Wake. Our Council is made up of 23 members representing each of our member-counties and seek to bring grassroots project ideas identified at the local level to us for development and implementation. In recent years we have completed a number of projects including dam removals, stormwater retrofits, quilt trails, and Farmland Protection Plans.
