Maurice Pierot (Art Director) and his wife Daniella (Managing Director) started in 1989 their first successful salon called Pierôt Coiffures. The name ‘Pierôt’ was originally used by the French customers of Maurice’s father Jean Pierre, in the early sixties in Paris. After he returned to the Netherlands, he started his first salon under the name Jean Pierôt Haute Coiffure. At the age of 14 Maurice started to work for his father. Under his own name he received his first award in 1985. Due to the fact that he didn’t get a lot of publicity, he changed his name to Maurice Pierôt. During one of the many hair-shows Maurice attended, he met Daniella, a model. There was a spark between them, and it didn’t take long before Daniella started to work with Maurice. Her career change turned out to be very successful and with her skills and the creativity of Maurice, they became internationally famous. Together they flew all over the world to create the most wonderful hairstyles for fashion shows and photo shoots. They won several prestigious awards and were responsible for stunning make-overs for Dutch television and magazines. In the autumn of 2006 a dream became true: they opened their new store, Pierôt Coiffures & Beauté, a department store where all specialties and innovations met to perfect beauty. An ultimate feeling of luxury, well-being and beauty became reality. Their passion and ambition led to this exquisite new salon of 400 splendid square meters, designed and furnished by architect Cees Dam. .
