Piknic Électronik is an innovative weekly event that indulges audiences while constantly proposing new discoveries. With electronic music at the core of its mission, Piknic aims to open up the genre by offering an immersive social experience. Defined by its specialized yet accessible programming, Piknic Électronik knows how to please both electronic enthusiasts and newcomers alike. OUR HISTORY The Piknic Électronik project was founded in Montreal in 2003 by four electronic music enthusiasts looking to make the genre more accessible by bringing it into the light of day. A festive outdoor event, Piknic Électronik has become a Sunday must-do during the summer season, both as an electronic music rendezvous and as a Montreal cultural staple. A testament to its growing popularity, in 2014 the four founders welcomed over 100,000 attendees to its 13th edition. The Piknic Électronik formula has been exported beyond Montréal borders! Piknic launched its first season in Barcelona in 2012 at the Montjuïc, a magnificent park in the heart of the Spanish city. Piknic Électronik Melbourne is returning after an incredible first season during the summer of 2015. Will you be part of the second adventure? *Event subject to council approval
