The Pittsburgh Curling Club is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing and promoting the sport of curling in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.
Curling is a unique sport, offering a challenging recreational and competitive environment for everyone regardless of age, gender, or physical condition. It promotes a code of conduct emphasizing honesty, respect, responsibility, and good sportsmanship. Since our founding in May 2002, the Pittsburgh Curling Club, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, has introduced the Olympic sport of curling to over 4,000 people. During this time, we have seen the popularity of curling increase at a steady rate. In 2010 alone, over 1,000 people were able to experience the sport through our series of league and learn-to-curl programs. We are now actively trying to raise money to build our own dedicated facility. The current home of the Pittsburgh Curling Club (PCC) is Robert Morris University Island Sports Center (RMUISC), where membership has consistently remained at full capacity for several years. The increase in popularity of the sport has dramatically increased the demand for curling in Western Pennsylvania. Only a dedicated facility, purpose built for curling, can meet the demand. A dedicated facility would further develop the sport of curling in our region to include youth programs, senior leagues, team building events, advanced training opportunities and curling tournaments.
