Pitusa draws inspiration from the beauty that every woman has to offer, from all the cultures of the world. Founded in 2010, Pitusa (pronounced Pi-tu-sa) was established with the goal of providing high quality, comfortable and affordable beachwear to women across the world. Our focus is to continuously create clothing that empowers women to feel confident in their own skin while offering a lighthearted aesthetic, transitioning easily from beach to street. Pitusa draws inspiration from the beauty that every woman has to offer, from all the cultures of the world. Our garments are made from the finest Peruvian cottons, using a vibrant color palette and our signature Inca trim. Pitusa employs women owned ateliers, based in Peru, who have been working with cottons for generations. The cotton is handpicked, woven, and dyed under ethical and fair trade working conditions. Pitusa means funny little girl in Spanish and was designer and founder Clara Lago’s childhood nickname. Clara is an eighties baby born in Washington, D.C. to an English mother and Spanish father. At age 8 she moved to London which inspired her bohemian tastes and showed her the importance of expressing yourself through fashion. After coming to Miami for university, Clara wanted to make a dress she could wear everyday in the sunshine, which was not only comfortable but of high quality and affordable. Clara did not dream of becoming a designer she simply wanted to create something she felt the market lacked. And just like that, Pitusa was born. Clara and her tight-knit team, headquartered in Miami, work tirelessly to provide the best quality products and first-rate customer service because we believe every customer is important. We are dedicated to bringing you comfort and happiness. #MADEINPERUWITHLOVE XOXO. Pitusa
