How Playced Created an Efficient Method for Identifying Colleges Playced LLC was founded by Fred Bastie, the parent of a successful high school baseball player, who was determined to play at the next level, but only at a college that met his academic, social and geographic needs. “The idea began to develop, while I went through the recruiting process with my son. It’s incredibly time-consuming and overwhelming to identify the best fit, with more than 2,000 colleges and junior colleges to consider. I wanted an efficient method for identifying colleges that fit a student-athlete’s academic, financial, social and athletic needs. But, nothing existed that offered the tools needed to find the right school. So, I created the Playced process and used it to help other students. I’ve been close to high school sports for years and my passion is helping kids. This service guides student athletes through the recruiting process and provides them with everything needed to control the process. I want to empower these athletes to find a place on a college roster at a school that best fits their needs.”
