General Info

Through your generous donations we are able to run the following programs: Food Pantry: Providing emergency food distribution for those individuals and families in need. Located at 5 South Main Street in Plymouth. Hours of operation: Tuesday and Thursday 9-11 a.m. Thrift Shop: Offers recycled goods and clothing, household goods, books for children, and miscellaneous items. Located at 5 South Main Street in Plymouth. Hours of operation: Monday-Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10-4. Drop-off available 24/7 through our green door. Financial Assistance: Provides emergency funds for food, fuel, utility bills, and medications. Hours of operation: Thursday 9-11. Meals For Many: Join us for a free, hot, nourishing community meal every Thursday evening at 5:00 pm at the Plymouth Congregational Church on the Common in Plymouth.

The General Society of Mayflower Descendants honors the 102 passengers who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620 at what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts. The General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) established itself as a non-profit in 1897. It is the mission of the Society to honor their Pilgrim ancestors who arrived in America aboard the Mayflower in 1620, and to join together the people who share this heritage. The Society has over 28,000 members around the world, with 52 societies representing all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. The national headquarters is in Plymouth, MA where the Society owns and operates a genealogy research library and the Mayflower Society House, an 18th century home originally built by Edward Winslow, a direct descendant of the pilgrim Edward Winslow, which is open for tours seasonally.
