Description

The Family Information Service offers free, friendly, professional and impartial guidance on the latest services and support available to members of all the family. We provide information on; Registered Childcare (childcare which has been approved by the Government inspection agency Ofsted) - Day Nurseries - Pre-Schools - Childminders - Out of School Care Non registered Childcare - Holiday Playschemes - Parent and Toddler groups We can provide parents/ carers with lists of childcare in their area and give information on choosing childcare. We can also provide information on toy libraries, schools, leisure activities, family support services and directory of children and family services. Support with childcare costs There are a number of avenues to explore to gain help with childcare costs. We can provide information on Me2 Funding, Early Years 3-4 year old funding and Childcare Vouchers and we can signpost to our Financial Inclusion Service who can provide a check to see whether you are entitled to help with childcare costs through other avenues such as Working Tax Credit. The Financial Inclusion Service can also provide you with benefit calculations to see what you may be entitled too, help with benefit forms and general queries. Becoming a Childminder We start the registration process for prospective Childminders. Advice Plymouth Advice Plymouth is a partnership of not-for-profit advice agencies, commissioned by Plymouth City Council to deliver a co-ordinated advice and information service for the people of Plymouth. The partners are The Routeways Centre, Age UK Plymouth, Plymouth Guild and Plymouth Citizens Advice Bureau. If it is notourselves, we will refer you to the relevant agency in this partnership. The Nowzad Charity was founded in 2007 by Sgt Pen Farthing We reunite Soldiers with their Battle Buddies and provide vital Animal Welfare to Afghanistan NOTE: Anyone who has an animal in Afghan that they wish to rescue please send an email with the subject heading RESCUE REQUEST to: pen@nowzad.com For any other questions please email: info@nowzad.com To date the Nowzad Charity has reunited over 1000 soldiers with the dogs or cats that they have rescued, bonded with and could not bear to leave behind whilst deployed in war zones. Nowzad is also the ONLY large scale animal shelter and clinic in the whole of Afghanistan. We have over 140 rescue dogs, 40 rescue cats and 6 rescue donkeys that are currently in our care. We carry out vital Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return programs. as well as education and outreach projects to improve not only the lives of animals in Afghanistan, but the people's too. The Nowzad Community is a vibrant, fun-filled family of supporters and volunteers who make a difference every day for the animals with no voice but ours.
