After completing a general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston, Massachusetts, a Harvard training program, Dr. Polavarapu did a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and an additional fellowship in the aesthetic surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She practiced plastic and reconstructive surgery in Chicago for 3 years. Dr. Polavarapu cultivates beauty at work and at play - painting and sketching are her favorite ways to relax.
