Dr. Joey Troupe's office, Polished Dental, provides all aspects of cosmetic and general dentistry, serving Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.

Description

Dr. Troupe was raised in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, home of Groundhog Day and Punxsutawney Phil. He went to college at the University of Pittsburgh, where he majored in Neuroscience, and completed his dental education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. To expand and diversify his dental education, he completed a dental residency at Allegheny General Hospital under the supervision of some of Pittsburgh's best dentists and dental specialists. He then entered private practice in Pittsburgh, working as an associate dentist in Shadyside and Highland Park. Dr. Troupe became the sole provider within his own private practice in Downtown Pittsburgh in January of 2013. The practice has evolved into a modern, state-of-the-art clinic where cutting-edge treatment is delivered in a comfortable, relaxing environment. Dr. Troupe truly enjoys practicing dentistry and strives to create a pleasant setting where patients are able to enjoy embracing their oral health and smile. Outside of the office, Dr. Troupe has many interests and hobbies that keep him engaged in Pittsburgh's community. He is passionate about sports, enjoys rooting for the Pirates, Penguins, Steelers, and University of Pittsburgh athletics. He collects vinyl albums, plays multiple instruments, and is an active member of the Pittsburgh music scene. He loves animals and participates in fundraisers and volunteer efforts to support local animal shelters. He also volunteers during the Pittsburgh Pride Festival, and participates in the Pittsburgh Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. He lives in Shadyside with his girlfriend of many years, Ashley, and their two adopted dogs Olive and Baloo. He has also lived in Bloomfield, and is proud to call the city of Pittsburgh his home. He often visits Punxsutawney, where his parents Joe and Mary Jude still live. His only sibling, Sara, is a graduate student of psychology at IUP in Indiana, PA.
