Pop Up tango, is a dance company in essence, created by Laura de Altube. Its mains aims are to promote, inspire and create new and exciting projects within mixed artistic communities; extracting differing, often diverse ideas leading to either live or filmed performance. We aim to provoke, perhaps break rules and conventions and explore areas of association, bringing together likeminded writers, musicians, painters, dancers and digital artists. Our work will often reference tango dance , however this is not its main aim. Free Improvisation, the pure essence of Tango, will be allowed free reign to take delight with sound, light, colour and movement. The company works as a platform for artistic development, research, collaboration and performance in both professional and community environments. We further intend to run extensive learning projects and workshops diverse social, community and commercial settings.
