Liza Formilan is Fully Qualified in both Industry's of Hair and Makeup. Internationally and Nationally published and stylist to Celebrities such as Guy Pearce, Daryl Hannah, Erin McNaught, Georgina Lewis, Fiona O'Laughlan, Andrew & Melinda Gaze and many more. Porio was formed in 2002 and since Liza had attended to over 600 weddings and counting. Liza started her Hairdressing Apprenticeship under the guide of Stephan Stokes, Key Hairdresser for Warner Bros Productions and within 3 years of starting apprenticeship was teaching Hairdressing Skills to up and coming apprentices at the Australian Instifution of Tafe. Liza also entered many competitions throughout the country where she gained the Title of Cutting and Colourist Champion for a number of years, saw her work published in 'Marie Claire' and then went on to landing her a gig on 5th Avenue, New York City where she stayed for almost a year. After being invited to Manage The North Queensland Hair Clinic, which would see her working hand in hand with the Queensland Cancer Council. Liza found this to be one of her most rewarding and educational positions to date. Friendships and partnership were made that will last a lifetime. Learning the art of Wig Making, Hair Loss, Specialist treatment and Management it formed a great addition to Liza's growing portfolio and gave her a greater appreciation of Life and it's struggles. While raising her children Liza went on to own 2 Studios "Missy's" where she embarked on intensive training which included Toni & Guy and Vidal Sassoon and Rae Morris. Holding Diplomas from many companies such as Schwarzkopf, L'Oreal Professional, Matrix, Goldwell, Wella, Joico, Kuene, M.A.C, Laura Mercier, Rae Morris and gaining National Recognition for her contribution to hairdressing. Liza studied Advanced Makeup Application at the Sydney College of Makeup Art which saw Liza landing jobs on the set of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, CATS, The Australian Government NBN Commercial, Imparja Television, Starlight Enterprises Sydney and many Indepentant Documentaries. Now residing in Kuranda, North Queensland and catering to the Cairns, Port Douglas and Tablelands region Liza travels extensively for different jobs. Porio was established over 10 years ago and the studio is located on the Beautiful Barron River, holding scenic and Majestic views. Catering to clients who travel from as far as Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville, Mission Beach, Daintree, Cape York Peninsula, Darwin and Alice Springs to take in the beautiful views and exquisite service including Style cutting, Advanced Colouring, Extensions, Unit Application and Management as well as all your normal Hairdressing and Makeup Services. Liza has worked with many experienced and commercial photographers in her career with many successful outcomes. Recently landing roles as Key Hair and Makeup Artist for Ellen Wilson from Lotus Ink Photography which has seen her work published multiple times Internationally and Nationally and also with Emerge Modelling Agency and Anja Ro'Rich Photography which will see Liza travelling to Paris, Germany and throughout Europe, styling for Editorial and Campaign Shoots. Liza's fees are competitive and her large clientele can vouch for that. Liza is very down to earth and genuine and a pleasure to hold company with. Her love of life and passion for her career are inspiring and many have said she is a breath of fresh air. Always wanting to make everyone happy and beautiful is Liza's ambition in life.
