WINTER To carry spirit light into world-winter-night My heart is ardently impelled, That shining seeds of soul Take root in grounds of worlds And Word Divine through senses' darkness Resounds, transfiguring all life. ___________________________________ English translation by Ruth and Hans Pusch ___________________________________ Zu tragen Geisteslicht in Weltenwinternacht Erstrebet selig meines Herzens Trieb, Dass leuchtend Seelenkeime In Weltengründen wurzeln, Und Gotteswort im Sinnesdunkel Verklärend alles Sein durchtönt. __________________________________________________ Created for: The Rudolf Steiner Archive by: The e.Lib, Inc. Please join Portland Village Parent Association (PVPA) tomorrow morning after drop off tomorrow (12/6) for the monthly Community Coffee. We will be gathering at the upper school in the basement right after drop off. Come drink coffee, eat a pastry, and meet some parents. The Community Clothing Closet will be open as well. We would love to see you there!
The first light of Advent is the light of stone– Stones that live in crystals, seashells, and bones. The second light of Advent is the light of plants– Plants that reach up to the sun and in the breezes dance. The third light of Advent is the light of beasts– All await the birth, from the greatest and in least. The fourth light of Advent is the light of humankind– The light of hope that we may learn to love and understand. - attributed to R. Steiner or to an anonymous author
