We provide a wide range of services to older and disabled people with an aim of ensuring that clients are enabled to live independently in a secure, safe, warm and comfortable home for as long as they wish to.

For more information about our services contact us on 01772 204096. Originally established to support people living in Preston, we now also deliver services in Burnley, Chorley and beyond. Our small team of dedicated and experienced staff support local people to stay independent in their own home by providing expert advice and technical assistance on all types of housing-related issues including: • Property repairs & maintenance • Renovations and extensions • Mobility & adaptations • Home security • Energy efficiency & staying warm • Safety in the home Our experienced caseworkers and technical officers give free advice and will also check people’s entitlement to appropriate welfare benefits and advise on possible grants and funding schemes. We also deliver a very successful and much-needed Handyperson Service. Our trusted and experienced team carryout small repairs and DIY jobs to help older and disabled maintain their home and their independence. For a subsidised rate of £10 per hour (plus any materials) our friendly team can: • Put up curtain rails, grab rails or stair rails • Replace failed tap washers • Power-hose your paths, patio or yard • Secure loose floor coverings or other trip hazards • Raise or lower chairs or beds • Make repairs to windows and doors • Fit additional security items to doors and windows • Replace gates and cut back obstructive shrubs or bushes • Move furniture or put up shelves • And many, many other ‘DIY’ jobs For any jobs we can’t do (such as electrics and gas), we hold a list of tried & tested local contractors that we can refer you to.
