Houston Pride Week: June 19 - June 23, 2018 Houston Pride Week: June 20th - 25th 2017 For over 38 years, Pride Houston has worked at the heart of the local LGBT community to educate and celebrate the diversity within our city's large population. Every year, Pride Houston works hard with national sponsors and local volunteers to organize and produce a series of events that cater to and promote Houston's ever-growing LGBT community. The Pride Festival and Pride Parade are at the center of the celebration and are attended by almost 700,000 people every year from all over the world. Featuring a variety of performers on a number of different stages, the Pride Festival is a great way to experience the community, learn about it's history, and visit the many booths from local vendors and organizations. The Houston Pride Parade is the most well known LGBT celebration in the Houston area, dating back over 38 years. Join us as we recognize and support our community on this special and unique night.

Description

Founded in 1978, Pride Houston, Inc., is a nonprofit dedicated to celebrating the LGBT community through events and the annual Houston LGBT Pride Celebration including the nation's first night-time Pride parade. Pride Houston has been a long time member of the International Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride (InterPride) for over 30 years. InterPride is a not–for-profit organization that provides support to over 200 groups that plan Pride events around the world. Pride Houston shall work to bring lesbians, gay-men, bisexuals and transgendered individuals together to educate the world on issues pertaining to the LGBT community, commemorate our heritage, celebrate our culture and liberate our people.
