Well Christmas Season is upon us with shopping, wrapping and planning for the many events that always come along. Year end Financial matters need to be remembered as well...I.E.: Registered Disabaility Savings Plans (RDSP) need to have the 2012 contributions settled before December 31st to recieve all the benefits for this calendar year. If you or a family member quailfies for the Disabaility Tax Credit (DTC) through Rev Canada then this is a very important plan for you to look at. Call me if you have any questions and I will provide the answers. Merry Christmas to ALL!
Well this has been an extremely busy past few months. September 21 to 24th was the OHBA Conference in Ottawa with amazing Awards presented to Sheila Hissa - David Horton Leadership Award, and Matthew Pryce - Volunteer Member of the Year Award. Both very deserving of the recognition from the Home Building Industry and both from here in the Simcoe County Home Builders Association. I also attended the Investia Financial Conference held in Markham October 15 to 17th. Excellent presentations from a number of Investment Managers with timely insights to the market activity. The theme was about sustainability in the market to retain value in balanced, well managed programs. Now I am off to a Conference with Empire Life from Nov 25th to 29th, held at Pebble Beach in California. There will be a full business day on the 26th to meet with the President, CIO and Tax Planning Specialists that will be extremely educational. I continue to seek input toward solid planning programs for my clients that will meet their needs. This conference is another of many Continuing Education Programs that I have attended this yearn behalf of myself and my clients. I look forward to sharing more details in mid December. In the meantime, lets hope for a milder return to winter as we prepare for Christmas.

This has been an interesting week thus far with lots of conversations about TFSA's. This is a great savings tool for both short and long term desires/goals. The question is what should you invest in and it seems "The Banks" do not provide very good suggestions. As a result, these TFSA's are being transferred to me to help manage and invest in an appropriate structure. Lets keep talking.
