Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin The Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin is the official Chartered State Council of the International Associtation of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, CLC. The PFFW represents over 4,000 professional men and women from departments across Wisconsin and advocates on behalf of those members who serve in over 100 communities around the State.
The PFFW Seven Core Objectives: 1. Cultivate a closer feeling of friendship and fellowship among the fire fighters/emergency medical personnel of the State of Wisconsin; 2. The pormotion of legislation to advance the interests of fire fighters/emergency medical personnel; 3. To maintain and improve an effective and substantial pension law; 4. To promote a safe and healthy working environment for fire fighters/ emergency medical personnel as possible; 5. To promote emergency medical services as a fire-based service; 6. To protect the fire fighters/emergency medical personnel in their positions; 7. The maintenance and improvement of the right to collective bargaining for the fire fighters/emergency medical personnel in every department in the State of Wisconsin.
The Goodman Community Center is a private nonprofit, serving people of all ages from all walks of life. The Goodman Community Center currently houses a preschool, 4-year-old kindergarten, afterschool programs for all ages (including countywide Girls Inc.), an alternative high school, an older adult program, food pantry and a fitness center. We also rent our rooms out to individuals, private corporations and community groups on a daily basis.
