MY TOP 5 TIPS ON PT LEAD GENERATION !! 1. INTERACT AND WALK THE GYM FLOOR! (there's nothing better then simply asking a member "hows your training going?" "Can i show you an exercise?" you'll build that rapport and there trust that your investable and worth training with. 2.BE VISIBLE! The amount of trainers i see come and go from one session to train then disappear home and return. Look busy, and just put the hours in, before you know it you'll land on that one client who has been looking for a PT or a referral from a member of staff. 3. RUN AN EVENT! Every month try and give something back, you'll raise awareness of yourself as a PT and create plenty of PT tasters. A popular event that works very well is a "BODY MOT" A health check for body fat% measurements, blood pressure etc .. 4.TRAIN THE STAFF! How good does it look if your the PT in the club that the general manager/sales manager are training with? Even the receptionist, its then your name passed onto to the members and build a reputation that stands out from the crowd. 5.FOCUS ON YOURSELF AND CHANGE YOUR MINDSET! As a PT myself you can get swallowed up in all the small talk within a health club environment. "there's too many pts here" "theres no members" "the clubs quiet" "its a saturated market" That's the problem, so what's your solution? Focus on developing your career/education. Lead generation/session planning. Be positive, walk the gym floor like you are the number one. keep your head down and be professional.
