ProYouth welcomes the opportunity to provide expanded learning opportunities to the students at Lincoln Elementary, Rocky Hill Elementary, and Wilson Middle Schools, in the community of Exeter, CA. ProYouth programs are grant funded, and are offered free of cost. We share the responsibility in helping students achieve academic success in school as well as supports youth physically, emotionally, and socially through project based learning experiences. It is imperative that your child attends the full program every day so that he or she may get the full program benefits. About Our Projects ProYouth HEART Program consists of 8-week projects that meet or exceed the 21st Century Student Learning Outcomes: Learning and Innovation Skills, Information, Media and Technology Skills, and Life and Career Skills. Most students who attend 2015-2016 school year may have the opportunity to participate in 4 projects through the course of the year. ProYouth EDGE (Middle School) Programs consist of 6 projects that meet or exceed the 21st Century student Learning Outcomes: Learning and Innovation Skills, Information, Media and Technology Skills, and Life and Career Skills. Healthy Children, Healthy Schools As a part of Team California for a Healthy Afterschool, ProYouth is committed to modeling a healthy, active lifestyle, fostering a culture of emotional wellbeing, and seeking opportunities to increase physical activity. We provide and promote healthy food and beverages and broaden resources through community collaboration and provide linkage to healthcare and other health-related services for our youth, our families and our staff. Academic Support Although ProYouth is not a homework completion program, we maintain our commitment to supporting our students’ academic success by providing daily, structured, homework time for your child with adult supervision. In addition to homework time, your child may be enrolled in other projects and activities that help support and ready them for their academic career. We hope your child can participate in diverse learning opportunities and recreational activities the program offers. If interested in enrolling your child, please complete the Student Registration form and return to your school office. Students are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Mission: Pro-Youth's mission is to help youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by providing a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment during out-of-school time.
