CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Men wanting to start their recovery journey at Psalm 23 Training Centre must bring with them an attitude for positive holistic change, be team players and be willing to follow the house principles and guidelines. While a resident at Psalm 23 Training Centre, residents actively participate in their recovery program level, community outreach programs, spiritual programs, work therapy programs and must follow the house program guidelines. All residents will have review dates with the Care Team. At this review meeting we will look at the progress of the resident and their possible promotion into their next Level. Residents participate in (12 Step) recovery meetings, attend in-house groups, join a recovery home group, and find a recovery sponsor and a Spiritual mentor to build an active relationship through the sharing of Step-work and personal healing issues. Professional counsel is provided for the purpose of personal healing and growth.

Psalm 23 Training Centre is doing more than recovery ~ We are training residents for the future! Opportunities and direction are provided to assist residents in building a support system through AA, and church community. Development of the individuals life skills including; cooking, cleaning, home upkeep, budget planning, outreach work, work therapy and role modeling are part of the individuals participation and commitment to the program, as is providing positive supportive mentorship to new residents. Personal Spiritual development is strongly recommended and encouraged through participation with recognized local evangelical churches which provide; supportive links to the surrounding communities, mentoring, education, accountability, leadership and family role modeling to assist residents in re-integration into family life and the community. Residents through our work therapy program train to lead in many of the daily operations which will prepare them for Life beyond recovery!. An Internship is also available to residents after graduation.
