From its humble beginning on the small island nation of Trinidad & Tobago in the West Indies, our system has grown into an organization that has gained international distinction and respect. Not only because of our success in the field of competition but largely due to the reputation and unique teaching and demonstrative abilities of our founder and Chief Instructor Professor Don Jacob If you are ready to consider a Martial Arts system, this is your opportunity to get involved with one of the most unique, practical, disciplined and holistic schools today. Don Jitsu Ryu is modern in concept, yet ancient in character and blends well with many different martial art styles such as Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Aikido, Jujitsu, Karate, Weaponry and Kickboxing allowing our students to become very well rounded and "complete" martial artists. The participation in the martial arts builds strength, character, focus, flexibility and coordination while enhancing performance in other sports, in the workplace, at home and at school. Our program enhances self-esteem, goal setting abilities, anger management and the skills of non-violent conflict resolution in people of all ages, gender and ability, helping them to become more productive and healthy members in our community with success skills that last a lifetime. We also pride ourselves in offering classes that are fun, educational and empowering for adults, teens, children, and the entire family.
