I'm into the third week of work since the summer vacation. And I think I've found my rhythm. Apparently, three is a magic number. Remember that song from Schoolhouse Rock? Work is going well. I continue to give weekly English lessons at the Leonardo School, I have four individual lessons with business professionals and have two new ones starting up soon. I really enjoy what I do and helping people become more confident speakers. I'm truly blessed to have the career I do and thankful that the assignments keep coming.
While I do enjoy teaching English, where my passion and talent lie is really in helping people with their presentation skills. I'm less than half-way through a 30-hour training program helping a manager to become a more clear, concise and confident speaker. Today I felt like Professor Henry Higgins from "My Fair Lady" as I helped him practice his pronunciation. I'm curious to see how he does on his "homework" that I gave him, because I told him that our next lesson is "SHOW TIME!"
