As a trainer there is is no greater reward than my clients achieving things that only a few short weeks ago they thought were beyond them. This week lots of my lovely ladies have come along in leaps and bounds (literally!) You should all be so proud of yourslves:D These achievements range from just being able to get up and down off the ground, starting a new program, to being able to increase the intensity of their workout - all movements that make life in general a whole lot easier! Well done ladies.
As most of you know weight loss ultimately comes down to what you put in your mouth and increasing your level of physical activity. Many people have asked me about what i eat and tell me its too difficult to change their diet because of their children or partner and its too expensive. Eating well does not mean eating lettuce for every meal or having to spend a fortune at the organic grocery store. The most important changes are portion control and to eat REAL food not food that comes from a packet or a drive through. Cooking your own meals can be convenient, a hell of a lot cheaper and you can hide an assortment of veges in there for the kids. Tomorrow night for example will be chicken stir-fry which I will prepare in the morning and chuck into the frying pan when I get home - cheap, fast and healthy. The key is to plan - do up a menu plan for the fortnight, plan ahead so you are not driving through your local fast food joint at 7pm just so eveyone gets fed. If you would like some meal ideas I am happy to share some of our family favourites :D
Now the madness of school holidays is over and im back to my normal roster, I have a few spots vacant on Tuesday between 9am and 1pm. Unfortunately (fortunately for me!) I am booked to my capacity on other days at this stage. Thank you all for your support and patience on days when I have had to re-schedule.

I will be doing my Level 1 Sports Trainer course on Saturday all day so I have to cancel my group sessions for this Saturday. If you are interested in doing a session on Sunday instead at 3pm send me a message (new people welcome!). Sorry for the inconvenience. If you want something to do on Saturday why not give Parkrun a go. There are lots of locations, in our region there is Toowoomba, Gatton, Pittsworth and Warwick and Roma. All start at 7am and they are all FREE! You don't have to run - you can walk the course, some Parkrun's will even let you take your dog :D
