In order to take part in the time honored tradition of chasing large four legged animals around in the woods while the leaves change colors, we will be closed from Friday October 10th through Monday the 13th. We'll be back in the shop on Tuesday the 14th to take care of your automotive needs.
"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving." ~ Albert Einstein As a show of support for all the hard working people out there Rathburn Auto will be closed on Labor Day.
I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday! As a show of solidarity with our friends to the north, we'll be closed Friday for Boxing Day. See you after the break!
Pro tip Tuesday: When shopping around for prices, don't lead with "Shop X said they would charge $---, can you beat that?" Just ask for a price, it will save us all time (and as we know: ⌚=$) and you might just find the person on the other end of the phone will be nicer to you.
Happy New Year everybody! We'll be closing a little early today (5pm), and we'll be home with our families tomorrow, but we'll be back in the shop regular hours on Friday. (8am-5pm) Have a safe holiday!
This year I'm giving thanks for all of our great customers. Without all of you my life would be pretty boring! I want you to know I appreciate your continued support and friendship. As a side note; we'll be closed until Monday to spend time with our families, pig-out and watch some football. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
If things go according to plan we should be open for business on May 1st.
Tomorrow (Thursday the 21st) is FREE LUNCH DAY at Rathburn Automotive! Come by the shop and grab a sandwich, some chips and a drink for free...till we run out anyway. Better hurry, I'm hungry already!
We'll be closed for the 4th, have a safe holiday everybody!
We now have a real key drop box for your convenience! Just go through the metal gate just to the right of the 2 roll-up doors and look for the door on the left. Easy! Just remember to BACK your cars in when you drop them off, the meter maids LOVE to give tickets out.
Alright guys, after much grunting and sweating we're *mostly* set up and ready to go! The doors are open!
Our funding campaign is over and we've met the goal! Sincere thanks are due to everyone that helped out! Now it's time to get to work... Hopefully, over the next couple of weeks we'll get things moved, cleaned, organized, ordered and set to go for the first week in May. Hope to see you there!
Thanks to my awesome wife, we're getting really close to a final logo.
Well, we signed a 5 year lease today. 5458 Shilshole Ave. NW in Ballard. Come find me in May!
Almost nothing in this industry is as frustrating as defective-right-out-of-the-box parts or Jim Gorman used to say "NEW, Never Ever Worked". This week alone I received two faulty fuel pumps in a row made by a reputable and (up until now) dependable company, and a faulty alternator re-manufactured by Denso (the company that makes OE parts for many new car manufacturers, including Toyota). The trouble with this kind of thing isn't just that you have to spend time (and as we all know, time is money) doing the job again for free, and the inconvenience to the customer, it's also that sometimes I initially doubt my diagnosis and follow the steps yet again to prove to myself that I'm correct, and that just slows the repair process even more. I'll admit to being wrong from time to time, (I'm only human after all) but it sure feels good to know I was right the first, second and third times! I want to thank my customers for their patience and understanding during this weeks' rash of N.E.W. parts. You guys make it worth doing, three times if needed!
Well now Comcast/Xfinity is down so I have no phone or internet. Please contact me via Facebook, again. I do apologize for any inconvenience.
The power is out here in Ballard if you want to talk to me, shoot me a Facebook message, I'll get back to you asap!
