Rauth Roofing is family owned and operated, for three generations! Traditionally, larger commercial and industrial buildings are mostly designed with flat roofs. Flat roof systems have come a long way from the days of layering molten tar and tar-paper, with roofers applying a protective gravel ballast to protect the resulting rudimentary waterproofing cover from the sun’s heat and UV rays. The standard four-ply, build-up roof has been the most common type of flat roof installed on commercial and industrial buildings throughout Ontario, and in some applications continues to be widely used. Since 1947, generations of our family have installed hundreds of square kilometers of this type of conventional roofing; we have estimated that Rauth Roofing experts have installed the equivalent amount of flat roofing product as it would take to cover the 401 from Windsor to Toronto! Today, Rauth Roofing continues to service this type of roof system, while also installing more complex roof systems and replacing conventional systems that were previously installed. Besides large and small scale roof replacement and repairs, we work closely with architects, property managers, property owners and general contractors, retrofitting existing buildings and new construction with a wider reach more than ever before. Roofs that Michael Rauth Sr. first installed in 1947, and his three sons, Richard, Michael Jr. and Dan, replaced in the late seventies, are now roofs that third generation Rauth Roofing experts are delivering newer and more complex engineered membranes to.
