Tess’s earlier career included experience in store management with sales of over $43 million p.a, multi site supervision for 17 sites with a sales volume of over $400 million p.a, Retail Support Management for over 75 sites which included responsibility for Food Safety, Compliance and other Legislative requirements, Trading Support Management for over 75 sites – charged with liaising between National Buying Office and Retail stores on issues such as competition, supply, ranging, marketing, planograms, allocations, special buys, merchandising standards and the implementation of the Automated Ordering system. Tess also headed a small National Shrinkage project group leading to savings of over $10 million. Tess has served as a Director for Franklins Ltd Superannuation Board, Board member for NFP organisation Swan Alliance and a committee member for Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Western Australia – Employment, Education and Training Committee. Tess is a dynamic and innovative business leader with a demonstrated record across developing and implementing new strategy, organisational design, change management, conflict resolution, workforce planning, experience in State EBA negotiations. new site establishment and shut down. HR metrics and business performance monitoring, review and improvement are a passion for Tess. A skilled facilitator, Tess enjoys working with groups to assist their understanding of key business strategies to ensure actions are aligned to the same.
