Remember when you stared at the posters in your room, dreaming of the day you could feel the sun on your face and wind in your hair as you push the engine to its redline? So does our founder. His vision is to welcome you to a collective experience, rich in novelty and peppered with nostalgia. Darshan Khatavkar founded Redline to introduce the vast resources and infrastructure for adventure sport in the United States with like-minded individuals from his country of birth, India. Darshan has lived in the United States since 1993, first to get an education and then as a professional at a Fortune 500 company. As a young man growing up in India, he read and dreamed about world-class motorbikes and cars, and today he lives in that world of adventure. Darshan got his first motorcycle in 2007 and since then has taken every opportunity to enjoy the American Midwest over its handlebars. He further experiences the outdoors through hiking, sailing, bicycling, kayaking, and running – having completed four marathons. He is also a certified scuba diver. Darshan fulfilled another lifelong dream recently when he obtained a private pilot license. You can often find him flying a single-engine Piper Warrior over the skies of Minneapolis. In conversations with friends from back home, he noticed that while they now have access to world-class equipment, they are severely hampered by infrastructure to get the most out of their investments. America’s expansive open roads offer visitors familiar with the United States as tourists an opportunity to see it from the perspective of local adventurers. Redline was born from Darshan’s desire to match the unconventional tastes of motorsports enthusiasts in India with the unparalleled experience of adventure tours in the United States.
