The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center is part of Roxbury Community College as well as a huge part of the Boston community. RLTAC is a center for not only athletic events, but also has the capability to host events that include educational activities, awards ceremonies, community programs, entertainment events, receptions, dinners, and luncheons. Corporations and community organizations have used the Center's resources as a cost-effective alternative to an expensive venue. The Center can provide any business or organization with spaces as large as 70,000 square feet or as small as 500 square feet. The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center welcomes all organizations to tour the facility to see just what we can do for you. Members are able to take advantage of the centers state of the art 200m indoor track, personally-designed fitness programs, weight training facility, cardiovascular equipment, fitness classes (including: aerobics, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and kardio karate), african jazz dance workshop, senior citizens cardio walking program, locker room and showers. Personal memberships are cost-friendly and a wise personal investment. The Center is named after the local humanitarian and basketball hero, Reggie Lewis, who played collegiate basketball for neighboring Northeastern University and professionally, for the Boston Celtics. Celtics Captain Reggie Lewis was revered not only for his athletic prowess but also for his dedication and advocacy for the educational, physical, emotional and social well being of the youth within the Boston community. It is this legacy which, in great part, shapes the vision, mission and goals of the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
