Description

Since 1994, we have been providing Personal Home Care Services to individuals who are dealing with health concerns that affect their independence. Our goal is to give you the choice to stay at home for as long as you wish while maintaining your independence. We are proudly Canadian and we have a strong understanding of the Canadian health care system. Our system has been accredited by Accreditation Canada which means that we meet national standards for the Personal Home Care Services we provide. Over our many years, Retire-At-Home and its owners have won many awards for quality of service, business ethics and community leadership. Founded in Ottawa, Ontario by Irene Martin, RN, our focus from day one has been to provide seniors with a complete solution of Personal Home Care Services so that they can truly Retire-At-Home! Mrs. Martin founded Retire-At-Home with the philosophy that quality care must address both the emotional and the physical health of an individual. It has been shown that the healing process is accelerated when they are emotionally healthy. This is the reason we aim to bring peace of mind to our clients and their families by making every effort possible to personalize our services to each client and their individual needs. This is our total well-being approach and is the philosophy that drives our entire team to build strong, long-lasting relationships with all our clients. Together, we have grown as a team and as a family. With 15 years of experience, a wide range of Personal Home Care Services, and compassionate professional team, you can rest assured that you can Retire-At-Home in comfort and safety! "Santa for Seniors" collects and delivers holiday gifts for seniors especially those who are alone with no family or support. We want to ensure that every senior has a chance to enjoy the holiday season! How "Santa for Seniors" works • Various organizations in our community will identify seniors in need and provide their names to Retire-At-Home Services Kingston and Shoppers Home Health Care. • Christmas tree will go up at the Shoppers Home Health Care store at 1011 Princess St, Kingston. This location will also serve as a drop off centre for gifts. The tree will feature "Santa for Seniors" card ornaments with the senior's initial and gender. • "Santas" can pick up these ornaments, donate gifts and return the unwrapped gift to the same location with the attached ornament. • Santa and volunteer elves will wrap and deliver the gifts to our seniors. "Santa for Seniors" is our way of giving back to a very important part of our community who have contributed so much throughout the years. "Santa for Seniors" runs from Dec 3 through Dec 22 If you have questions or are interested in participating, please email kingston@retireathome.com or drop in to speak with Shoppers Home Health Care staff at the 1011 Princess St location. Thank you for your generous support. Happy Holidays! Santa and the elves~~~~

Please support Fix and Clean run by the Engineering Society of Queen's University. The program aims to help senior and disabled community members with tasks that they are unable to do on their own, such as yard work, moving furniture, getting ready for winter, or just anywhere that we can lend a helping hand. This year, the fall volunteer event will be taking place on October 4th and 5th. To request volunteer support, please email fixnclean@engsoc.queensu.ca or call (613)-533-6008. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Elizabeth (see info). We hope that with your help, the program will be able to reach more community members in need of assistance.
