Description

Key Club is a community service organization where high school students volunteer to help better their community and raise awareness for several organizations like the American Cancer society and the New York Blood Center. By volunteering to help different causes we are able to build character and develop strong leadership skills. Some of the events we volunteer for include but are not limited to cleaning up parks, organizing food drives, working in soup kitchens, and various fundraisers like March of Dimes. We are always looking for new members who are willing to help their community,

General Info

By 1943, Key Club reached it's international status and by 1977, females were allowed to be part of he club as well. As of 2010, Key Club now exists in 30 countries with membership of over 250,000 high school students and having 5000+ clubs. Few of notable Key Club alumni include Bill Clinton, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Elvis Presley & Joe Namath. In all these past years, Key Club along with Kiwanis have united it's members under the 'emphasis slogan', "Children: Their future, our focus." by partnering with UNICEF and it's ELIMINATE Project, March of Dimes & Children's Miracle Network. The Richmond Hill H.S. Key Club is sponsored by Richmond Hill Wood-haven Kiwanis Club. In last decade, Richmond Hill H.S. Key Club had along with serving with partnered charities served with New York cares', in local Soup Kitchen and have done various month awareness projects. We hope to proudly keep serving our community, promoting service, leadership and opening doors to better future.
