Lets raise $5000 to help Right to Play provide kids suffering from disasters with play, education, and health practices, to create peaceful communities.
Right to Play is a non-government organization that was founded by Johann Olav Koss, in 2000. Its mission is to "use sport and play to educate and empower children and youth to overcome the effect of poverty, conflict, and disease in undeveloped countries." Right to Play teaches children high quality education, health practices, and skills to create and sustain a peaceful, cooperative community through play. They work with local teachers and community leaders to hand over play-based education in and around classes throughout the week. Moreover, they teach fun, important health lessons through play activities to provide the children with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to stay healthy. Through activities, kids learn to accept each other, respect one another, and work together to achieve great success. Right to Pay's philosophy encourages children to reflect on what they learned from their experience, and apply it into their daily lives and communities. Right to play has impacted children in countries throughout North America, Latin America, the MIddle East, Asia, and Africa. Since 2000, RIght to Play has continued to provide children with the the opportunity to play, treating them as human beings, rather than something to be kept alive. "Right To Play’s mission is to use sport and play to educate and empower children and youth to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict, and disease in disadvantaged communities."
