Description

RISE advocates on its members’ behalf to improve government refugee policies and to generate positive social change in respect to attitudes impacting refugees. Furthermore RISE settlement service coupled with our music and arts projects seek to address the various barriers to successful settlement and empower refugee communities to be active participants in wider society. RISE acknowledges that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the original owners and custodians of the land that we live and work on

Many of our workers experienced the difficulties of settling in Australia and have in-depth knowledge of the political, legal, social, and community welfare system in Australia.
