Riverside Yacht Club was organized in 1949 to provide
family social activities for boating enthusiasts on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, with its home base in Portland. The club has been actively promoting pleasure boating, water sport activities, inland waterway
facilities, and boating safety.
The largest social and money raising event is the annual OYSTER FEED held near the beginning of each boating season. The menu features fresh oysters, barbecued in
the shell. Another successful annual event is an over-
land cruise to the quiet village of Garibaldi, Oregon
where the club invades the town for the weekend and devours all the crab available.
A more congenial group of people cannot be found. RIVERSIDE YACHT CLUB offers a wide range of interests related to boating, water skiing, cruising, fishing, scuba diving, and parties. Members have boats ranging from
none through ski boats to yachts.
REMEMBER: It is fun to join Riverside Yacht Club but it is more fun to participate.
