RMAR's director and founder, Rory O'Neill, is an animal behaviorist, dog trainer, and animal rescuer for over 20 years, falling into it when growing up realizing how many dogs and cats were homeless and in high-kill shelters. She focuses on saving companion pets worldwide, and animal cruelty and wildlife awareness. Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue is dedicated to successfully matching and adopting pets to loving homes and in the process of setting up a larger Rescue, Adoption, Training Center.

We also try our best to educate about animal welfare. RMAR focuses on rescuing homeless dogs, puppies and cats in severe environments, rehabilitate, spay/neuter, and finding them happy homes.

RMAR rescues in many parts of Alberta, working with First Nations communities, shelters, sled dogs, and NWT where homeless dogs and other animals struggle to survive in extreme weather in many cases and most all starving.
