Rocky Mountain Classical Academy exists to support parents in developing citizens of integrity and character who are equipped with a strong knowledge base.
Our Philosophy RMCA embraces a classical approach to education, seeking to inspire excellence by holding forth examples in each subject field, which have stood the test of time and have been widely recognized as the very best. It is a philosophy in which students are taught time-tested, high quality literature, art, and music, as well as science, mathematics, geography and history. In addition, students will learn the best in modern thought on these subjects. The key pillars of “a passion for learning, analytical thinking, and virtuous character” will all be based on a solid foundation of knowledge. Rocky Mountain Classical Academy exists to support parents in developing citizens of integrity and character who are equipped with a strong knowledge base and academic skills. The basis of this development is rooted in an academically rigorous, content-rich, classical educational program with Core Knowledge emphasis.

Parents! Elementary school does not dismiss until 3pm. Please do not come to carpool until 2:50 at the earliest. We cannot have people parking in the street or in our fire lanes before this time. Parking in the street is disrupting neighborhood traffic and parking in the fire lane behind the school (kindergarten lane) has MANY safety issues! Please wait to come to the school until 2:50pm. Thank you for understanding and helping with this issue!
The city/ county has been working with RMCA to help with carpool traffic. You will start noticing a change in traffic patterns for kindergarten only. Kindergarten families ONLY have been instructed to start turning right into our parking lot from Barnes Road during carpool. Today was a "quite test start" but we are expecting more parents to start using this tomorrow. We will be sending detailed information home soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve our processes.
Update for Friday, April 17, 2015: D49 is closed. Arrangements will be made to reschedule or refund field trips. The teachers and school will be in communication with parents regarding these changes.
