Introducing Chris R Wright PA, LMT & CAT (Certified Alignment Therapist) Practicing The Lamont Method of Structural Integration Alignment Therapy is an evolved method of traditional Structural Integration, originally known as (Rolfing). But unlike traditional Structural Integration, Alignment Therapy takes a client based approach, tailoring each session to the individual. Alignment Therapy works under the premise that shortened connective tissue equates to pain, therefore once lengthened, clients are relieved from the grips of pain and can return to their pre-accident, pre-injury lifestyle. Practicing the Lamont Method of Structural Integration, Chris uses a specific technique of Myofascial & Neurofascial Unwinding, which confuses and relaxes the nervous system allowing access to deeper fascial layers. "Unwinding" allows the client a level of comfort ability which enables the body to more readily accept the change to the tissue. This "Unwinding" creates heat in, and lengthens areas of bound tissue that collect as a result of overuse (i.e. repetitive motion), injury (i.e. scar tissue) as well as underuse or stagnation aka ischemia or lack of blood flow. Through the course of the sessions Chris helps his clients maintain the progress being made by teaching body awareness and correcting daily repetitive actions that lead to pain patterns. Complemented with stretches and (muscle memory) re-patterning exercises assigned at the closing of each session, clients can experience longer lasting results with little or no need for long-term care. The goal of an Alignment Therapist is to help return the body to a more functional state that enables and empowers the inhabitant to enjoy a significantly diminished or pain-free life. Chris will perform alignment work in one or two ways, either the 12 series protocol for full body re-alignment, or conditions work to address specific issues. The number of sessions for conditions work will vary, but Chris often experiences great results with his clients in four to six sessions.
