Roots Community Health Center is a not-for-profit, 510(c)3 organization in Oakland, CA providing medical care to those who need it. We are growing and expanding to meet the needs of our community. Our Mission To provide the highest quality comprehensive health care and mental health services to Oakland residents with the goal of eliminating health disparities in our community; to identify the roots of suffering and illness and address them through community-responsive, culturally appropriate service delivery; to focus on providing excellent access to comprehensive care in a safe and dignified environment; to identify and treat not only the symptoms, but also the roots of physical and mental ailments affecting our patients and our community; to establish roots and partnerships within our community to address issues of violence, substance abuse, poor nutrition and limited access to educational and vocational opportunities; and to provide state-of-the-art, top-quality care while honoring the roots of culture, heritage and tradition.
